Lunamorph — Alternative Fashion Show (Sydney)

Ah, back in the day your uncle Madame Moselle once performed at one of these shindigs, dressed as a nursie with big hooks in their back and doing a lovely pull against a sweet and feisty lass named Jewelz. Sigh… the memories! The scars! The endorphin flashbacks! They really are fabulous events, and this one has an orchestra of 32 vintage synthesisers, plus the stupidly hot and wantonly wrong Fancy Piece… Go and get your freak on!

This Saturday

Enmore Theatre, Enmore Road, Newtown, Australia

The Sydney Fringe and Under The Blue Moon present Lunarmorph 2010

This year the festival of all things darkly beautiful kicks off with epic alternative fashion parade Lunarmorph!

Lunarmorph a fashion parade like no other will be showcasing the most eye-popping alternative & avant-garde fashion by top designers from Melbourne & Sydney.
…A visual spectacle to be accompanied by a 32 vintage synthesizer orchestra.

If you love alternative fashion then don’t miss this event!
From sexy ‘Dames, Dolls & Delinquents’ bad girl stylings by 50ft Queenie through to sumptuous ‘The Golden Age’ by Dolly Q, your MC’s Fancy Piece will take you on a trip through the sub genres of alt. fashion. Enjoy the ride through Tentacle Threads industrial swim wear era, the steampunk of Clockwork Butterly & the luscious latex of Matt Bylett.

Both alternative fashionistas & electronic music freaks alike will appreciate hearing & seeing the machines that made the sounds of ‘Blue Monday’, and ‘Dr Who’ morphing with fashions on the catwalk…sensuous sensory overload warning…totally befitting for Sydney’s first Fringe Festival.
