A Cuppa and A Chat

It’s Mental Health Month, and there’s lots going on for it. Here’s a sweet initiative, right in my ghetto. Info courtesy of the Courier article

‘The Newtown Neighbourhood Centre is inviting everyone to the Hub throughout October to have a friendly cup of tea. The centre is celebrating mental health month each Wednesday in October with a tea `n’ tété-a-tété, offering free tea, coffee and cakes. Executive officer Lisa Burns said the theme is “good friends help us bounce back’‘, promoting the importance of creating and maintaining good friendships, and how social relationships are crucial in building our resilience and getting through the tough times in life.’
