Walking in a Winter Wonderland…

The Sydney Winter Festival is on again this year, from 28th July to 14th August: ‘Located at the Sydney CBD’s iconic Cathedral Square, the 2011 Sydney Winter Festival will offer its most exciting line-up yet; an exciting array of gourmet winter food, some dazzling action on the ice and authentic après ski experiences. Sydney thrill seekers can enjoy the experience of the the country’s largest open air Strepsils Cool Ice Skating rink, measuring an impressive 1,000m², whilst food-lovers can sample some of the most delicious dishes from over 20 winter-loving countries.’

It is like a little tiny European Christmas market in the middle of Sydney — kind of surreal but the Glühwein fixes any confusion…
