An evening for Queerpreneurs and Changemakers

This is our second Queerpreneur event for queer changemakers, social entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Come along and meet other changemakers from Sydney’s LGBT community who are pursuing innovative and dynamic projects that are making an impact both within the LGBT community and beyond. This evening will feature:Dr William DeJean will speak about the interconnection between our queer identities and our service to the work.  He will give examples from his experience as a gay male high school teacher to his research examining  gay and lesbian teachers who are “out” in their classrooms. William will also talk about a new initiative he is leading in Australia which is transforming the learning experiences of young people in years 9-12.Meredith Turnbull has 15 years experience in the community based youth, health and social change sectors of Australia. Meredith is a cofounder of Q&A – LGBTQ Adaptive Leadership program that has been working with LGBT young people in NSW and rural Victoria. Meredith’s full bio is below.
