Yes, Melbourne has always been  tad crass, but at least now they are embracing it…

‘CRASS! is a new queer alternative happening that sinks it’s mits into Melbourne’s soggy parts on the first Friday of every month.

Favouring dance-floor dramatics, wardrobe malfunctions and embracing the theory that you haven’t had a good time until you’ve lost a shoe, CRASS serves up a balanced diet of Dj’s and 1 x live band every month (this time around, cold wave German electro slappers Ana Nicole).

It’s amazing what a little chloroform can do. The CRASS! team have stalked, stuffed and hung the antlers of much-prized globe-trotting elk of the decks, DJ Sveta for your dancefloor entertainment. She’s Russian, she’s Sydnesian and she’s just returned from NYC where she blew the queer socks out of everyone’s jocks at Choice Cun(t)s. Hell, even Amanda Palmer wants to have her love-child, putting the re-mix of her latest single in Sveta’s very capable hands.

Eat glass for breakfast and then let CRASS provide the emergency exit for your social relief.

CRASS! LAUNCH: Friday 2 September.
It will be Spring. Time to get your bitz out!’
