Tempe Flower Show

The day after Bacchanalia — and sure there will plenty of scope to cross-over with the costumes1!

‘Push Push In The Bush!

Good day to you, floral fanciers one and all! The Bad Dog P&C Ass. cordially invite you to The Tempe Flower Show, Sunday October 2nd 2011, at the Tempe Jets Sports Club, from 3pm to midnight. Celebrate the new spring season with us this coming long weekend in a fabulous orgy of colour, movement and sonic sensation. Oooh! Whether you’re diclinous, monoecious, protygynous, allogamous or self fertile; a Touch-Me-Not or A Naked Lady with a multi-hued Candy Tuft, a Wall-flower or a Pigface or maybe just a cheeky Bachelor’s Button, the fecund sounds of Annabelle “Nosegay” Gaspar, Steve “Sweet Pea” Sonius and Bill & Ben (that’s Cotsis and Drayton, nach) will stroke your little weeds into proud Golden Rods! Trumpet Lily extraordinaire, Kevin Davidson, will be fine tuning the sound system to perfection – better prepare your mind, body and soul for some swee t sweet cross pollination.

Meanwhile Jade Kemety and Marty Wong will be let out of the Bad Dog garden shed, scampering across the greens and club spaces to mount a series of lush slide and video installations. The mesmerising beauty of their work always makes the tightest rosebuds blossom!

So freaky Hornworts and dancin’ daisies, get to it: tickets are available for $40 (+ b.f.) from So Music, 183 King St, Newtown and now at our spankin’ new little shop of horrors ticket outlet in Darlo’, The Toolshed, 81 Oxford St. There’ll also be limited tickets available from our friendly Busy Lizzies at the door for $50, but get in early, Yew’ll be glad you did.
Ladies bring a plate.’
