Bower — Artist in Residence Program

The Bower Reuse and Repair Centre Co-operative  ‘collects and, through it’s members, repairs preloved household goods then resells them to the local community’ and is now offering an artist in residence program:

‘For a long time now we’ve been working on how to maximise the potential of our shed. It’s chock full of tools and resources that most of us couldn’t otherwise afford (money or space!). In 2010 Marrickville council’s Arts and Cultural Grants Program helped us improve storage, access and safety in the space. Now it’s ripe for a residency!

Do you work in Creative Reuse and Repair? Are you passionate about salvaging resources and showing off the potential of the old and discarded! Do you want your own work space, a well equipped home away from home 2 days a week? We might just have what you’re looking for.  We’re new to this, and we’re open to discussion and negotiation, so if you have an idea that doesn’t quite fit, fear not! Get in touch anyway, you might just be what we’re looking for!  Download the Outline and application form. Applications Close 5pm 31st October. No late submissions will be considered.’

Further information, terms and conditions etc on th Bower website.
